With the recent launch of VerifyMe version 3.0, CDDN is taking a major step forward in the online registration and verification market. This new version not only offers improved performance in scanning identity documents but also introduces innovative features that bring significant benefits across various sectors. Martijn de Boer of CDDN highlights that tailored solutions can now be implemented even faster: “We can have a custom-built solution up and running within a week.”
A standout improvement in VerifyMe 3.0 is the redesigned ID scan, developed in collaboration with CM.com. According to CDDN Director Peter van Kooten, this is one of the fastest and most user-friendly scans on the market:
“Our scan automatically detects when the document is clearly readable, without requiring the user to actively take a photo. Users can also easily upload a photo, after which clear instructions appear. This speeds up registration and minimizes errors.”
VerifyMe’s IBAN-name check sets itself apart from providers like SurePay. Van Kooten explains that CDDN has built upon SurePay’s service to enhance it further. The CDDN system assists users through a dropdown menu offering multiple name variations:
“This allows users to easily select the correct combination, which increases acceptance by banks and significantly reduces errors.”
A major innovation in VerifyMe 3.0 is the introduction of NATEGIS Plus, an advanced verification feature developed in cooperation with Dutch telecom providers. This significantly reduces the need for the relatively costly iDIN verification.
“With our standard NATEGIS check, we were already able to skip iDIN in 60% of cases. With NATEGIS Plus, that figure increases to 80–90%. Fewer iDIN steps mean fewer user actions, fewer drop-offs, and lower costs,” explains Van Kooten.
Since the introduction of VerifyMe 3.0, average conversion rates have risen significantly. Where previously around 60% of users could register without issues, that rate has now reached 85% with CDDN. “We monitor continuously and keep optimizing,” says Van Kooten. “For us, 85% is just the beginning—we aim for nearly 100% successful registrations.”
The automatic address feature in VerifyMe 3.0 enables complete and error-free registration of address information. Users only need to select their house number addition from the available options, eliminating the risk of errors.
“This makes the process faster and more accurate,” says Van Kooten.
VerifyMe 3.0 also introduces a unique “ongoing monitoring” function. Companies are immediately notified of any changes in customer data—such as address changes, death, or financial status. Although checks for insolvency or guardianship are not legally required, CDDN has proactively implemented them. According to Van Kooten, this has already prevented numerous complaints and refunds, especially since the opening of the online casino market.
